About this directory

What Generator Installers Ireland is, what it is not, and how it makes money — which, at present, is: it does not.

What this site is

Generator Installers Ireland is an independent information directory for Irish households and small businesses planning installed standby power. It exists because the market after Storm Éowyn (January 2025, 750,000+ premises lost power in Ireland) left buyers facing multi-month installer queues with almost no neutral guidance on sizing, cost or installation practice.

What this site is not

  • We do not install, sell or hire out generators, and we are not affiliated with ESB Networks, RECI or any manufacturer.
  • We take no bookings and publish no installer rosters — county pages describe the installation context, not named companies.
  • Nothing here is electrical or safety advice for a specific premises. Your RECI-registered contractor and your installed unit's manual are authoritative.

Editorial standards

  • Every factual claim traces to our canon (RECI and ESB Networks public guidance, installer-published documentation) or the cornerstone guides; uncertain figures are labelled ASSUMPTION.
  • Costs are stated in EUR. Indicative bands (EUR 5,000-15,000+ installed, ASSUMPTION - indicative, installer quotes vary) are never presented as quotes.
  • There is no SEAI grant for generators; we say so rather than imply otherwise.
